Numinbah Valley is a suburb, and a valley, in the hinterland area of Gold Coast. Numinbah is considered a Scenic Rim valley; 116 kilometres of healthy land patches, rocky parts, waterfalls, rainforest walks, and just picturesque hinterland views. World-renowned travel guide book Lonely Planet even noted Numinbah Valley as the "most beautiful" in South East Queensland.
There are large parts in Numinbah Valley that are still under-developed while its neighbours in Gold Coast are busy making urban developments over the years. To the east, bordering Numinbah Valley is the Springbrook plateau. On the eastern side of the valley is the Natural Bridge in Springbrook National Park, and to the west lies the Lamington Plateau and the Lamington National Park. To the south is the Tweed Valley in northern New South Wales.
Vegetation in the valley includes dry and wet sclerophyll forest. Numinbah Valley is included in the upper catchment area of the Nerang River. This area continues into the Hinze Dam's lowest elevation. This all happens as it goes further north in the valley.
The town of Numinbah, and the community called Advancetown, both of which are localities and suburbs on their own, can also be found in Numinbah Valley.
The river that runs along the Numinbah Valley is where the duck-billed Platypus can be found.
But these days, the Platypus' appearance in Bonchow Park and Forest Park went down to a worrisome minimum. Contemporary research states that the population of the duck-billed Platypus on the Gold Coast is often dense in Numinbah Valley and Canugra. They also run along other suburbs of the Scenic Rim including Palen Creek, Rathdowney, and Mount Barney.
There are more trees than people in Numinbah Valley, and the health of the trees in this suburb is the reason why Numinbah Valley is the beautiful scenery that it is. It is important for trees to go through appropriate maintenance to ensure that they stand strong and to avoid chances of damaging property. For tree pruning, tree removal, and other tree-related services, Tree Essence knows how to get the job done.

Generally speaking, you should water your garden about once a week. However, if the temperatures increase, you may have to water more frequently. You will know when it is time as the soil will not hold together in the palm of your hand and the surface looks hard and cracked.
It is best to water your garden early morning in Summer before it gets too hot, giving your plants plenty of time to absorb any moisture on the leaves and dry off before nightfall. Be careful not to over water, as this can drown the plants. Resulting in limited oxygen supply and the plants will not be able to breathe.
Call the specialist at Tree Essence on 1300 487 333 if you live near Numinbah Valley and have any concerns with the trees or plants in your garden.
A Health Management Plan can be taken out for any type of tree to ensure they remain healthy and strong. Once set up, it provides continual maintenance of your garden.
So, a Health Management Plan occurs annually and involves undertaking a number of measures, depending on what kind of trees are to be serviced. Such as a soil injection treatment which is a simple and fairly common process of delivering pesticide or chemical fertiliser into a tree through the root zone. Removing dead fronds from palm trees and using a canopy foliage spray because the cane beetle is a contributing factor for infestation. Pruning, taking care not to over prune as this causes stress to the tree.
The team at Tree Essence have extensive arboricultural knowledge and can give you specialist tree advice, so that you can make an informed decision on whatever service you are requiring. If you live near Numinbah Valley and would like more information on a Health Management Plan for your trees, call Tree Essence on 1300 487 333.
It is vitally important to look around your garden and property to ensure that your trees are in good condition, to prepare for the inevitable summer storms. By doing this you will reduce any possible risks, keeping your family, pets and home safe. So, take the time to identify any possible hazards. Check that there is plenty of clearance between your trees, your roofline and power lines. As hanging branches can bring about significant infrastructure damage to your property.
Also look for aged, deformed or decaying tree branches. Survey the density of your tree canopies. Thinning branches most often are an indication that your tree is stressed. Certain types of palms and trees are inclined to get fungus and rot, so look out for this one. If you want peace of mind, be pro-active. Tree Essence are certified tree experts and can help you to become storm ready.
