Tree Pruning of a Hoop Pine Kingscliff
26 Feb 2020
Tree Essence Arborists Gold Coast were asked to remove a large Hoop Pine (Araucaria Cunninghamii) from a residential property at Kingscliff. This magnificent specimen spanned 40 meters in height. The owners of the property were concerned with the safety of the tree considering the current wild weather that was tormenting the region.
Hoop Pine is a native Australian species found in Queensland and New South Wales. Its timber is popular for general construction purposes, flooring, joinery, shelving and cupboards, furniture, and plywood. When treated with preservatives it is suitable for outdoor use such as fencing, pergolas, landscaping, retaining walls, and playground equipment.
The team at Tree Essence align their core values with intrinsic nature. When and where possible in conjunction with our client’s wishes, we will do whatever we can to save a tree, such as this one. So…we gave this old girl the royal treatment, which she well and truly deserved. We pruned deadwood, diseased and crossing branches and did a general tidy. Inspecting all unions for attachment integrity. For our client’s peace of mind, we installed a dynamic cable bracing system between all main leaders. Our top priority is safety to people, animals and property.
Our clients are extremely happy that they could keep this stunning Hoop Pine by allowing Tree Essence Arborists to undertake effective tree pruning. She will stand tall for a number of years to come, which is a win-win for our clients and us.
