DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT NUMINBAH VALLEY, QUEENSLAND?
Numinbah Valley is a suburb, and a valley, in the hinterland area of Gold Coast. Numinbah is considered a Scenic Rim valley; 116 kilometres of healthy land patches, rocky parts, waterfalls, rainforest walks, and just picturesque hinterland views. World-renowned travel guide book Lonely Planet even noted Numinbah Valley as the “most beautiful” in South East Queensland.
There are large parts in Numinbah Valley that are still under-developed while its neighbours in Gold Coast are busy making urban developments over the years. To the east, bordering Numinbah Valley is the Springbrook plateau. On the eastern side of the valley is the Natural Bridge in Springbrook National Park, and to the west lies the Lamington Plateau and the Lamington National Park. To the south is the Tweed Valley in northern New South Wales.
Vegetation in the valley includes dry and wet sclerophyll forest. Numinbah Valley is included in the upper catchment area of the Nerang River. This area continues into the Hinze Dam’s lowest elevation. This all happens as it goes further north in the valley.
The town of Numinbah, and the community called Advancetown, both of which are localities and suburbs on their own, can also be found in Numinbah Valley.
The river that runs along the Numinbah Valley is where the duck-billed Platypus can be found.
But these days, the Platypus’ appearance in Bonchow Park and Forest Park went down to a worrisome minimum. Contemporary research states that the population of the duck-billed Platypus on the Gold Coast is often dense in Numinbah Valley and Canugra. They also run along other suburbs of the Scenic Rim including Palen Creek, Rathdowney, and Mount Barney.
There are more trees than people in Numinbah Valley, and the health of the trees in this suburb is the reason why Numinbah Valley is the beautiful scenery that it is. It is important for trees to go through appropriate maintenance to ensure that they stand strong and to avoid chances of damaging property. For tree pruning, tree removal, and other tree-related services, Tree Essence knows how to get the job done.
